About us
Protein Production Sweden (PPS) is a national infrastructure financed by the Swedish Research Council. The universities that are part of the infrastructure are the University of Gothenburg (host), Lund University, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Umeå University and Karolinska Institute.
Find below information about our steering group as well as contact information for the extended management group. The extended management group takes care of the daily business of the infrastructure including approval and distribution of project applications and represents the different technical expertise available within PPS.
The role of the PPS Steering Committee includes:
- Appointment of the node directors
- Decision on the yearly budget distribution
- Approval of gender equality plan, business plan, strategic plan and annual report
- Approval of policies for access to the infrastructure

The role of the PPS Scientific Advisory Committee includes:
- Advise on long-term strategic decisions for PPS
- Assist and advise in the work with applications by PPS
- Advise on project applications when applications come from members of the management group or steering committee

The role of the PPS node director includes:
- Execution and coordination of the node activities including projects, knowledge transfer, coordination of capacities, method development etc

- Education, outreach, marketing and administration
